Getting Help
How to find answers in SalesOS, ask the help assistant, contact support, and follow your requests.
Most questions about SalesOS are answered in this guide. The in-app Help panel searches it for you, can ask an assistant that answers from these articles, and lets you contact support without leaving the page you are on. This page explains each route and what to expect after you ask.
Opening Help
You can open the Help panel from anywhere in the app:
- Click Help (the ? circle) in the header.
- Open the mobile menu and choose Help on a phone.
- Click the floating Help & feedback launcher in the corner of the screen.
- Press Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows and Linux), type your question, and choose Ask Help. The command palette also shows matching help articles once you have typed three or more characters.
The panel opens as a drawer on the right, or full screen on a phone. It has three tabs: Search, Your requests and Contact.
Searching the Help articles
When you open the Search tab without typing anything, SalesOS shows Help for this page first, which is the article for the screen you are on, followed by popular articles and your recent questions.
Type a few words, such as "reset two-factor" or "reconnect Gmail", to see matching articles. Click a result to read it inside the panel. Use Open in docs to read the full article in a new tab.
Asking the assistant
Click Ask the assistant to send your question to the help assistant. The assistant answers only from these Help articles and cites them with numbered links, so you can check each step. If the articles don't cover your question, it says so rather than guessing, and offers to put you in touch with support.
The assistant also knows some facts about your workspace, such as your plan, whether AI is set up and whether an integration needs attention, so it can point you to the right fix. It never asks for your password, API keys, two-factor codes or card details. Don't paste them into a question.
Some answers include buttons for safe next steps, such as Resend link for email verification or a shortcut to Settings → Security. Nothing changes until you confirm it on the screen the button opens.
After an answer, choose Was this helpful? Yes / No. If you pick No, you can add a note, then contact support with your question and the answer already filled in.
When AI answers are off
If AI isn't available in your workspace, or you have reached the daily limit for assistant answers, the panel says "AI answers are off right now" with the reason in plain words. It then shows the closest articles instead. Search always works, with or without AI. See AI Setup for what each reason means.
Contacting support
Open the Contact tab to send a request to the SalesOS team. If you came from a search or an answer, your question is already filled in. Add what you were trying to do, what you expected and what happened instead.
SalesOS attaches basic diagnostics to your request so you don't have to describe your setup. These include your plan, integration status, whether AI and email are set up, and recent error references. Record contents are never attached.
The Contact tab also offers Send product feedback for ideas and praise that don't need a reply.
What happens next
- You get an email confirming your request with a case id that looks like
SO-2026-00012. - Many questions are answered straight away from the Help articles. The email tells you when an answer was sent automatically, and gives you "This solved it" and "I still need help" links.
- Other requests are reviewed by a person. Every update arrives by email.
- There is no guaranteed response time. SalesOS doesn't promise a fixed reply window for any request.
- To add information, reply to any email about your case. Your reply is added to the same case.
Your requests
To see every request you have sent, open the Your requests tab in the Help panel, or go to /dashboard/help/requests. Each request shows its case id, status and the full conversation. You can reply from there, or mark the request resolved when you no longer need help.
Getting help when you can't sign in
If you can't reach the app, go to www.salesos.org/support. Describe your problem to see matching articles first. If none of them help, fill in the form. SalesOS emails you a link to verify your address before the request is created, which keeps out spam. Once you click the link, you see your case id.
For sign-in problems specifically, start with Account & Sign-in, which covers password resets and lost two-factor devices.
Checking system status
If something seems broken for everyone, check www.salesos.org/status. It shows the current state of the API, the database, background jobs, the AI assistant and email delivery. It has no history, so it can't tell you about an incident that has already ended. If the status page itself won't load, that may mean an outage.
Tips for a faster answer
- Search first. Most "how do I" questions already have an article.
- Include the Reference code from any error message. See Troubleshooting for why it helps.
- Send one problem per request, so each one can be closed as soon as it is fixed.
